Overview
On 18 May 2022, STAMINA will hold its 1st International Summit on Pandemic Management in Valencia (Spain), organised by the STAMINA partner, Valencia Local Police. This will be a hybrid event with both virtual and in-person participants.
The STAMINA project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. The project aims to develop solutions to increase the capability of pandemic planners and responders to manage, assess, predict pandemic situations.
The consortium comprises 37 organisations from industry, health authorities, public sector, and academia from across the European Union, United Kingdom, Turkey, and Tunisia. It runs from September 2020 to August 2022.
Why attend?
- High level experts in the field will present the lessons learned from the current pandemic crisis and will discuss ways to tackle the pandemics of the future from across the EU and beyond: regional and national planners, policy makers, civil protection agencies, law enforcement agencies, first-line practitioners, and other experts in the emergencies, health field and research.
- The progress of STAMINA and the pandemic management tools developed in the framework of the project will be also presented.
The Summit will be preceded by a trial and a stakeholders‘ workshop on 17th May, where the tools developed in the framework of the project will be tested, validated and evaluated in a real-world environment.

Your participation will be used as input for us to understand and evaluate the project results and share the lessons learned in the project.
STAMINA will gather the following information:
- Your name, professional affiliation, and contact information.
- Photographs and/or video recordings of your participation in STAMINA research activities.
- Your opinions and evaluation of STAMINA, via discussions, interviews, or follow up interactions.
- A legal ID for entry into to the venue.
Observer notes of discussions and questions will be made during this event. Photographs, audio, and or video records could be made with your consent.
We may use our notes to write articles for journals and relevant industry magazines and for promoting the project in general (e.g. on social media or in newsletters).
The lawful grounds for the processing
Our lawful basis for processing personal data from research related activities is affirmative consent – Article 6(1)(a). Our lawful basis for the creation of contact lists and similar stakeholder engagement activities is legitimate interest – Article 6(1)(f). When we first contact you based on this legitimate interest, we will make sure to follow up on any request to be removed from our contact lists.
How long do we keep your personal data?
If you agree to take part in the research, any personal data (e.g. name, contact details) collected from you will be used for our internal processing, administrative purposes, and to enable us to contact you if we require further information. Your details will be kept for a maximum period of 5 years following the end of the project.
How do we store your personal data?
The record of your participation will be kept in a file separate from the research data. All data will be encrypted, stored on password protected computers, in secure locations at STAMINA partner institutions, and shared through a secure online platform managed by EXUS. For processing the online consent form, your personal data will be stored on Moosend’s portal for accountability purposes until the activity is concluded and the details are downloaded to STAMINA partners’ secure servers.
Sharing your personal data
We will share your personal data with third parties where required by law, where it is necessary to administer our relationship with you or where we have another relevant, carefully assessed legitimate interest in doing so. We will not disclose your personal data to third parties unless there is a legal basis for this. We will not share your personal data for marketing purposes. All information we collect about you will be kept strictly confidential unless we are required to share your information with the European Commission as part of our obligations. We will not publish any information in reports or communications materials that would enable you to be directly or indirectly identified, unless you directly consent. However, the researcher has a duty of care to report to the relevant authorities possible harm/danger to the participant or others. If this was the case, we would inform you of any decisions that might limit your confidentiality.
How long do we keep your data?
You have the right to information regarding what is collected and processed, to access to your data being processed, to delete or make any changes to this information, and to restrict processing. You have the right to receive requested information in a time-limited fashion. Información sobre el evento
Le invitamos a participar en la 1ª Cumbre Internacional sobre Gestión de Pandemias de STAMINA que se celebrará en València (España), organizada por el proyecto europeo STAMINA y uno de sus socios, la Policía Local de València. La participación en este evento podrá ser presencial o virtual.
STAMINA es un proyecto de innovación financiado por la UE en el marco del programa Horizonte 2020. El proyecto tiene como objetivo desarrollar herramientas para aumentar la capacidad de los planificadores y cuerpos de primera intervención para gestionar, evaluar y predecir situaciones pandémicas.
El consorcio cuenta con 37 organizaciones de la industria, las autoridades sanitarias, el sector público y el mundo académico de toda la Unión Europea, el Reino Unido, Turquía y Túnez. Se extiende desde septiembre de 2020 hasta agosto de 2022.
¿Por qué asistir a este evento?
En este evento se presentarán las lecciones aprendidas de la actual crisis pandémica del COVID-19 y se debatirá cómo afrontar las pandemias del futuro. También se presentarán los avances de STAMINA y las herramientas de gestión de pandemias desarrolladas en el marco del proyecto.
La Cumbre pretende ser un foro de reflexión y debate que reunirá a profesionales de diferentes ámbitos y países de la UE y de terceros países: planificadores a nivel regional y nacional, responsables políticos, organismos de protección civil, Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad, profesionales de primera intervención y del ámbito de las emergencias y de la salud, de la investigación, entre otros. A la Cumbre asistirán expertos y expertas de, al menos, 17 países de la UE y de terceros países.
La Cumbre irá precedida, el 17 de mayo, de una prueba piloto y de un taller dirigido a profesionales de la materia en los que se probarán, validarán y evaluarán las herramientas desarrolladas en el marco del proyecto en un entorno real.

Más de dos años de Covid-19 han puesto de manifiesto la urgencia de aprender de las duras lecciones para mejorar la preparación y la respuesta ante una pandemia. Desde la perpetuación de las desigualdades sanitarias debidas a la adquisición y distribución no equitativa de tecnología médica que salva vidas, hasta la disminución de la confianza pública en la ciencia y el liderazgo político; la pandemia ha reiterado la necesidad de conciliar las divisiones y ha demostrado que el COVID-19 solo puede abordarse mediante un enfoque unificado de la salud.

STAMINA recopilará la siguiente información:
- Su nombre, afiliación profesional, e información de contacto.
- Fotografías y/o grabaciones de vídeo de su participación en las actividades de investigación de STAMINA.
- Sus opiniones y evaluación de STAMINA, expresadas en debates, entrevistas u otras interacciones.
- Un documento de identidad legal para entrar al recinto.
Se tomarán notas de los debates y las preguntas durante este acto. Podrían hacerse fotografías y vídeos con su consentimiento.
Estas notas podrán ser utilizadas para redactar artículos para periódicos y revistas relevantes del sector y para promocionar el proyecto en general (por ejemplo, en redes sociales o en boletines informativos).

¿Cuánto tiempo conservamos sus datos personales?
Si acepta participar en la investigación, los datos personales (por ejemplo, nombre, datos de contacto) que se recojan de usted se utilizarán para nuestro procesamiento interno, con fines administrativos, y para poder ponernos en contacto con usted si necesitamos más información. Sus datos se conservarán un máximo de 5 años tras la finalización del proyecto.
¿Cómo almacenamos sus datos personales?
El registro de su participación se mantendrá en un archivo separado de los datos de la investigación. Todos los datos estarán cifrados, almacenados en ordenadore protegidos por contraseña, en lugares seguros de las instituciones asociadas a STAMINA, y se compartirán a través de una plataforma online segura gestionada por EXUS. Para la tramitación del formulario de consentimiento en línea, sus datos personales se almacenarán en el portal de Moosend’s para rendir cuentas hasta que se concluya la actividad y los datos se descarguen en los servidores seguros de los socios de STAMINA.
Compartir sus datos personales
Compartiremos sus datos personales con terceros cuando así lo exija la ley, cuando sea necesario para administrar nuestra relación con usted o cuando tengamos otro interés legítimo relevante y cuidadosamente evaluado para hacerlo. No revelaremos sus datos personales a terceros a menos que exista una base legal para ello. No compartiremos sus datos personales con fines de marketing. Toda la información que recopilemos sobre usted será estrictamente confidencial, a menos que debamos compartir su información con la Comisión Europea como parte de nuestras obligaciones.
