Radio Maribor interviews STAMINA’s Helena Blažun Vošner

At 10:30am (CET, 09:30 GMT) 10 February 2021, an interview with Helena Blažun Vošner from the Maribor Health Centre (Slovenia) was aired on Radio Maribor for a special feature about STAMINA. The project has been funded be the EU Horizon 2020 programme and is producing a smart support platform to support crisis management experts in pandemic prediction and management.

During the 20-minute interview, Helena provides the latest updates on the progress of the project so far. The interview covers the circumstances under which the consortium applied for the project in summer 2019 (prior to the Covid-19 pandemic), when the project designed to focus mainly on Zika, Ebola and the West Nile viruses among others. Further discussion moved on to cover the five main objectives of the STAMINA project and the diverse range of experts and organisations that make up the consortium, including decision makers, policymakers, national planners, public authorities, health care workers, regional emergency management agencies, first responders, NGOs, social scientists, (bio)informaticians, research organisations and IT experts. It was highlighted during the interview that a unique aspect of STAMINA was the involvement of policy makers, which means that the final results of the project have optimal opportunities to be implemented across national health care programmes throughout Europe and beyond.

We would like to thank those at Radio Maribor who were involved in recording the interview, as well as Helena for being an excellent representative for STAMINA. If you missed the interview live, you can now listen back online.
